  • Video games are a relatively new media form.
  • In 2024 video game companies have made 187.7 billion.
1970- Game= Pong Features= Nolan Bushnell and Al Alcorn of atari develop and arcade tennis game.

1980- Games= Game Boy Features= Nintendo game boy popularises handheld gaming 

1990- Games= Tomb Raider Features= Lara Croft debuts as the star of eidos adventure game tomb raider

  1. The people use things for a purpose online and why they use it.

Prince Harry video on fortnite:
  • The main points are that he thinks the game is irresponsible and wants it banned as its an addiction which leads to people playing it for a long time.
  • I disagree because i think that all games can be played for a long time but because its popular its more noticeable that its played for a long time.
Healthcare triage on video games:
  • The main points are that violent games give you violent thoughts and sad books give you sad thoughts so your feelings can be brought out by anything not just games. After playing the games for a while you'll become less hostile because your used to it more.

  • If shown violence they will copy it and will imitate the behaviours of others so 3-6 year olds shouldn't be playing. video games according to his theory.
  • I disagree with his theory as if you teach your child how to behave they will follow what you do and not imitate others .
